Private Villa
- Athens

Fields of intervention: architecture, interior design, landscape design

Situated in the heart of Kifisia, one of the most exclusive and verdant districts of Athens, the villa draws inspiration from the genus loci of the site – genuine and welcoming. Starting from a pre-existing structure, the project seeks to strike a balance between the pure forms of the architecture and integration with the local environment.

The main entrance is fully transparent and was conceived as a bridge floating above an expanse of water, connecting the forecourt garden to the extensive grounds. The three buildings of the villa surround this private parkland, so protecting it from the street. The concept of privacy is crucial to the design of the façade, with narrow windows protected by screens towards the outside and fully expansive glazing towards the inner gardens.

One of the most significant architectural interventions was the inclusion of large panoramic windows with slender profiles, allowing natural light to be a central feature and providing continuity between inside and outside. Pergolas with light and precise lines were designed to protect the spaces from direct sunlight and give rhythm to the façades, while vertical screens offer both aesthetic continuity and privacy.
