Sanlorenzo Arts
- Waves

2026

WAVES, on view at Casa Sanlorenzo in Venice from 6 May to 19 July 2026, is an exhibition produced by Sanlorenzo Arts, the cultural initiative launched by the yacht builder to extend its engagement with contemporary art. Presented during the Venice Biennale, the exhibition reflects the company's commitment to fostering dialogue between art, design, innovation, and maritime culture.

Curated by Sergio Risaliti and Cristiano Seganfreddo, WAVES explores the concept of the wave as a universal principle connecting natural phenomena, energy, movement, and perception. The exhibition brings together works by modern masters Alexander Calder, Lucio Fontana and Fausto Melotti alongside contemporary artists Tony Cragg, Christine Safa, Marcello Maloberti and Friedrich Andreoni. It also expands its perspective beyond the sea to the cosmos through the scientific contribution of Ersilia Vaudo Scarpetta, whose reflections enrich the exhibition's dialogue between art and science.

Conceived as a multisensory experience, the exhibition extends throughout Casa Sanlorenzo, its garden, and the adjacent pedestrian bridge, where Maloberti presents the site-specific installation ECHO, transforming the crossing into a space of resonance and passage.

The graphic identity begins with the exhibition posters displayed throughout the city and extends across every communication touchpoint, including banners, the exhibition catalogue, vaporetto posters, totems, animated e-invitations, advertisements for Il Giornale dell'Arte, and all printed and digital materials produced for the event.
