Thanks to an exclusive agreement signed with Siemens Energy, 50Steel is the world’s first superyacht to use a green methanol Reformer Fuel Cell system for generating electricity.
In addition, 50Steel introduces a remarkable novelty in terms of interior design. The vessel is arranged over five offset decks, creating spaces with particularly airy volumes that connect to the outside while minimizing partitions and barriers.
This new and disruptive internal architecture is, however, imperceptible from the external profile, which maintains a clean and essential line.
“I think the 50Steel is the most creative boat I’ve ever worked on. It’s creative because it uses hydrogen to power all the lighting and air conditioning systems. It’s creative because it no longer has decks, but rather areas that have been designed as true architectures, so with large spaces that dialogue with each other. It’s creative because, when open, there's a barrier-free beach club extending for over 135 square meters. And it’s creative because what was previously the engine room has now become a living area.” – Piero Lissoni
