Fields of intervention: architecture, interior design, landscape design and graphic design
Gaofuli Shanghai was born from the coming together of contemporary Italian design and the ancient heritage of Shanghai, and in particular that of the Shikumen district where the project is located. It is not a replica but rather a distillation of Chinese tradition – its very essence translated into contemporary forms and atmospheres.
The project is the outcome of an integrated vision, where architecture, interiors, landscape and graphic design were conceived as elements of a single language. It is this coherence, more that the individual components, that defines the character of Gaofulii: measured proportions, clean lines, and continuity between the interior and exterior in the materials, patterns, furnishing and greenery.
The result is a new way of living, where the rigor of Italian design and the richness of Chinese culture do not overlap but interweave.
