Giovanni Gastel - Milano

The exhibition Giovanni Gastel, curated by Germano Celant, offers a broad anthology of the photographer’s long career, from his early days in the 1970s till the present, and attempt to demonstrate the complexity of his work, by interweaving the professional and biographic events of his life. The labyrinth conceived by Lissoni Casal Ribeiro amplifies the many-faceted creativity of Gastel, who ranges between fashion and design, portraiture and still life, always extending the aesthetic and technical boundaries of photography in his experimental shots. The catalogue’s design produced by Graphx, conceived by Celant, is including images, documents, statements, accounts and works to create a unique portrait of Giovanni Gastel.
