Exhibition at Poldi Pezzoli

November 17th will see the inauguration of the exhibition ‘L’arte del dono. Da Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli a oggi’ at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum in Milan. Marking the bicentenary of its founder’s birth, the exhibition explores his influence on the history of collecting in Milan, Italy and abroad.

Curated by Annalisa Zanni, the museum’s director, and Federica Manoli, its collection manager, the exhibition presents 38 works spanning the period from the 14th to the 20th century and including paintings, sculptures, clocks, cabinets and fans.

The exhibition fit-out, along with the graphics project, was developed by Lissoni & Partners and presents the works by evoking a domestic dimension, isolating them individually or gathering them together by type into small groups and placing them in niches lined with wallpaper, an element that recalls the house that once belonged to Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli.
