The new brand identity of Palazzo Te

The new logo of Palazzo Te created by Lissoni Graphx develops from the monogram "TE", which becomes the central focus of the institutional visual communication. "Te" also seeks to allude to the Italian singular pronoun meaning 'You', playing with the concept of addressing each individual to whom the communication is directed.

In the typography, the letter T is inspired by architectural elements and the forms that light and shadows define on the archways of the building. The font is a combination of serif and san serif, while in the various applications - such as the Foundation, the Museum and Spazio Te – it was important to use colors closely linked to the history of Mantua, earthy shades that summon up the frescoes and paintings inside Palazzo Te.

Variations have also been designed to enable the logo to adapt to different uses: the TE monogram is set apart from or is combined with icons - such as the salamander and the horse - selected from recurring figures in the rooms of the museum.
