Red in progress. Salone del Mobile Milano meets Riyadh

The event “Red in progress. Salone del Mobile Milano meets Riyadh”, taking place in Saudi Arabia from 26th to 28th November, will bring the Salone into the very heart of Riyadh, transforming the King Abdullah Financial District into a place for Italian furniture and design companies to promote Italian excellence and to meet, interact and share with their Saudi and international counterparts.

The B2B component will manifest itself in the Business Lounge. Designed by Lissoni & Partners, the area was conceived as an oasis of warm and welcoming light, envisaged to host meetings, presentations and instants of interaction.
The space is organized into different lounge and meeting areas, furnished with pieces designed and produced by the Italian companies partnering the project. The overall effect is enhanced by the presence of greenery, which reinforces the idea of a natural and comforting refuge.
Five more intimate rooms, delineated by curved walls that appear as large room dividers, offer relaxed, private areas. The circular volumes present an alternation between inside and outside through pleated, backlit upholstery and decorative graphics inspired by classical Italian paintings, generating a multifaceted landscape.
