New Sanlorenzo yachts unveiled at Cannes

On the occasion of the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, from 10th to 15th September, Sanlorenzo unveiled the new SP92 with interiors designed by Piero Lissoni.

SP92 is the second model in the Smart Performance line, following on from the SP110 presented two years ago.

“SP92 is a floating architecture with very measured dimensions. It’s like a beautiful motorboat over 90 feet in length. It handles like a motorboat and goes as fast, but it also possesses the comfort and architecture of a large yacht. SP92 is a cross between a large motorboat and a large beach. There are spaces that join together, double height areas and connections between the deck that leads down to the water and the bedrooms – the exterior pervades the interior and vice versa.” Piero Lissoni

Cannes also saw the presentation of the new 50Steel, the first superyacht in the world to use the Reformer Fuel Cell system powered by green ethanol, in collaboration with Siemens Energy.

“I think the 50Steel is the most creative boat I’ve ever worked on. It’s creative because it uses hydrogen to power all the lighting and air conditioning systems. It’s creative because it no longer has decks, but rather areas that have been designed as true architectures, so with large spaces that dialogue with each other. It’s creative because, when open, there's a barrier-free beach club extending for over 135 square meters. And it’s creative because what was previously the engine room has now become a living area.” Piero Lissoni
