and landscape design
The Roza Rossa project is located in a central district of Moscow and features both hotel and residences. The architecture is distinguished by the union of historic buildings dating from the 19th century and new constructions that have been introduced with great skill and harmony into the pre-existing buildings. The rather austere façades are defined by clean geometric lines that recall a rationalist aesthetic with a rhythm conferred by the alternation of glass and cement materials. The complex of buildings that delimits the block encloses a courtyard, a square of contemporary design where open spaces alternate with more sheltered areas to take account of the severity of the Moscow winters, providing a panorama that promises to change with the seasons. The various spaces are marked out by a style that merges the historic and the contemporary, Russian and Western European culture, to produce places that are imbued with natural elegance.
